Abstract
The essential oil content in the aerial parts of the native species Francoeuria undulata growing wild in the south of Iran was found to be 0.7 % based on the fresh weight. The oil was analyzed by GC and GC-MS. Forty two constituents, representing 96.9 % of the oil were identified. The major components of the oil were α-bisabolol (17.5 %), chrysanthenone (12.5 %), 1,8-cineol (10.7 %), trans-thujone (9.7 %) and linalool (6.6 %).
