Abstract:
The hydrodistilled volatile oil of flowering aerial parts of Haplophyllum villosum (M. B.) G. Don (Rutaceae) from Iran was analyzed by gas chromatography (GC) and gas chromatography-mass spectrometry (GC-MS) for the first time. Thirty eight constituents consisting 97.3 % of the total oil were identified. The monoterpene hydrocarbons had the highest contribution. The main compounds were β-phellandrene (15.6 %), β-caryophyllene (13.1 %), linalool (11.8 %), α-pinene (7.3 %), α-pinene (6.1 %) and α-humulene (5.9 %).
