Abstract
Space Technology is one of the foremost scientific domains that have attracted human thought and imagination since ages. The present study applies Scientometric techniques to Space Technology research output by Scientists in reputed international journals based on Web of Science database covering the period 2012–2016. The researcher opted current field of study for it was quite less explored with Scientometric techniques, even though Space Technology is a highly researched domain with innumerable societal applications. The various factors like the growth rate, authorship trends, collaboration, major subfields, Indian contributions, citation impact etc. are analysed in this study. A total of 7504 papers were published during five years, which received 40362 citations with an average of 5.37 citations per paper. It was observed that during 2012–2016 there was a steady increase in yearly output.
