Intellectual Capital: Opportunities in IT Sector in India

Abstract

Purpose of this article is to make students aware about the importance of Intellectual Capital, about employment opportunities, skills required, Indian IT industries and the salary structure. It is hoped that students shall benefit from these informations.

Y P Singh has over two decades of active participation in progress of IETE. He was the Secretary of IETE Bangalore Centre, Secretary and Chairman of IETE Delhi Centre, Hony. Treasurer IETE Council (1995–19% & 2001–2002) and Chairman Publication Committee (1996–1998 & 2002–2003)—some of the milestones of Mr Singh's active association with the Institution. He possesses diverse skills of marketing, human capital development, international relations and above all of winning friends. He has served Telecom Sector for over three decades and retired as Vice-President of Siemens Public Communication Networks India Ltd. Currently, he is the Director of Amity Institute of Information Technology (AIIT), Noida which is engaged in both graduate and post graduate IT learning programmes. He is also Senior Vice-President of PTC India Foundation and Secretary General of ‘e-com net’ of India. He is a strong believer in human values and has the ability to thrive in competitive environment. He is a Fellow of IETE.
