In the fast paced world of geo-spatial information science, theoretical progress, technical advances, and new application experiences are everyday developments. Geo-Spatial Information Science (GSIS) is honored to be an important platform for authors and readers to share their findings. To cultivate an even better geo-spatial information science journal, a new editorial team was organized to work for GSIS from this issue onwards. Four fields are identified as the major areas of concern in GSIS, i.e., geospatial information systems, photogrammetry, remote sensing, GNSS, and Geodesy. For each area, a top scholar was invited to be an associate editor for this field to handle submissions, the review process, and quality assurance for a high-quality publication. In addition, GSIS is also honored to have a worldwide team of well-known researchers, professors, and scientists as editorial members to attract superior submissions and meticulously review manuscripts. We can expect that, after more years of effort, GSIS will become one of the top journals in the geo-spatial information sciences. Let me take this opportunity on the occasion of the publication of this new issue to thank all the contributors to this journal, the editorial team, the authors, the publisher, and our persistent and valued readers, including you!
