Abstract

Hierdie artikel ondersoek die doel en funksie van kodewisseling. Data word ontleed om die hipotese te toets dot daar ′n verhand tussen die vorm en funksie van kodewisseling bestaan. ′n Paging word aangewend om die verhand tussen sekere formele kodewisselingstrukture en hulle funksie vas te stel.

This paper examines the purpose and functions of code-switching. Data is analysed in order to test the hypothesis that the forms and functions of code-switching can be related. An attempt is made to determine the relationship of certain formal code-switching devices and their functions.
