Ján Michalko
JÁN MICHALKO is a PhD Candidate at the Centre for Gender Studies at the School of Oriental and African Studies (SOAS) in London. Currently in his second year of study, Ján has been conducting research with female students at the University of Johannesburg to gather their views and perceptions of female political elites. His interests lie in issues of symbolic political representation and participation, as well as debates of elitism, empowerment and identity in the context of South Africa. Ján holds an MSc degree from the University of Edinburgh, United Kingdom and a BA from Susquehanna University, Pennsylvania, United States of America. Email: [email protected]
