Naadira Patel

Naadira Patel is an artist, designer and educator who has worked across the fields of art, architecture, design, and cultural programming. She currently leads softwork, a research and design studio based in Johannesburg, working within an ecosystem of feminist organisations, artists and a broad range of cultural institutions. Naadira holds an MA in Cultural Analysis from the University of Amsterdam, and a BA Fine Arts from the Wits School of Arts. She has lectured at the Wits School of Arts, and in Unit18 at the Graduate School of Architecture (GSA) at the University of Johannesburg. Naadira's practice is focused on trends shaping ideas on work, wellness, productivity and new and emerging forms of surveillance capitalism.
