Abstract
A proportional counter for measurement of low tritium activities is described and its characteristics are discussed. Two gas fillings have been used. With dead methane + hydrogen (50%) mixture the minimum delectable activity which could be determined after 24 hours of counting with 10% accuracy is 450 TU. Using ethane gas filling the minimum detectable activity is 50 TU.
