Ion Chromatographie Determination of Anionic Impurities in the Secondary Water System of Nuclear Power Stations

Pages 415-418 | Published online: 22 Jul 2008

Abstract

The nonsuppressed anion chromatography with indirect UV-detection is demonstrated as a suitable method for the trace-analysis in the secondary water system of nuclear power stations. Coated silica-based reversed phase material was used as ion exchanger. This material has a high chromatographic efficiency and selectivity. The used hardware allows the determination of chloride and sulfate with a detection limit of 0.8 ppb and a relative standard deviation of 20%.
