Theory and practice of the VoyageFootnote1: On the Missoula trail

Pages 211-220 | Published online: 25 Apr 2008

Notes

This tide is borrowed from Jim Harrison's book, Theory and Practice of Rivers. Théorie et pratique des rivières (Paris: 10/18, 1989). Although Jim Harrison was not at the conference held in Missoula, he was quoted several times; we are using the title of his book here, for it seems to sum up the spirit of the Missoula conference and the topics discussed by French and American writers.
