Abstract

A new benzofuran-type lignan, vitrifol A (1), was isolated from the fruits of Vitex trifolia, along with three known compounds 24. Their structures were elucidated mainly on the basis of 1D, 2D NMR and MS spectral data. Compound 1 was first isolated as a dimer of dihydrobenzofuran-type lignan.
