Two new alkaloids from Gelsemium elegans

Abstract

Two new alkaloids, named gelsenine (1) and 11-methoxyhumantenmine (2), were isolated from the whole plant of Gelsemium elegans. The structures were elucidated on the basis of 1D NMR, 2D NMR, and MS methods.
