Cai Wilkinson is a Senior Lecturer in International Relations at Deakin University, Australia. Her research focuses on societal security in the post-Soviet space, with a particular focus on LGBTQ human rights and “traditional values” in Kyrgyzstan and Russia. She has published articles in Security Dialogue, Nationalities Papers and the Journal of Human Rights and contributed chapters to volumes on securitization, research methods, and LGBT rights.
