Abstract

Solubilization of water and carboxylic acids, and secondary solubilization of inorganic electrolytes by micelles of metal salts of dinonylnaphthalenesulfonic acid in nonopolar solutions, are described. A new method for producing calcium borate type overbased sulfonates is also described in connection with the solubilization by sulfonate micelles.
