Notice of changes to the Editorial Board

&

Associate Editors

Reviewers and associate editors are key to the peer-review process, ensuring that manuscripts published in Lake and Reservoir Management (LRM) are of high quality and relevant to the field. All reviewers and associate editors are volunteers, with busy professional and personal lives, and we appreciate that they contribute their expertise to the journal. We offer our sincere thanks to our reviewers and the entire Editorial Board for their service to LRM. We would especially like to recognize the outstanding contributions of the following associate editors, who have recently retired from LRM’s Editorial Board after many years of dedicated service:

Dr. Jean Jacoby served for 25 years (1995–2020).

Dr. David Soballe served for 31 years (1989–2020).

In addition, we would like to welcome 4 new associate editors to the Editorial Board:

Dr. Dana Bigham Stephens is currently Dean of Arts and Sciences and Director of the Mattie M. Kelly Environmental Institute at Northwest Florida State College. Her research focuses on understanding temporal and spatial shifts in aquatic ecosystems and relationships with natural and anthropogenic drivers. Dana received her Ph.D. and M.S. degrees from the University of Florida in fisheries and aquatic sciences and her B.S. degree from the University of Wisconsin–Madison in biological conservation and zoology. After joining the North American Lake Management Society in 2006, Dana served 2 terms as Student Director and 5 years as Awards Chair.

Dr. Brian Ginn is a limnologist at the Lake Simcoe Region Conservation Authority in Newmarket, Ontario, and a NALMS Certified Lake Manager. Brian completed his Ph.D. in applied aquatic ecology at Queen’s University, and his M.Sc. in marine benthic ecology at the University of New Brunswick. His research interests include aquatic ecology, lake management, ecosystem responses to environmental change, phycology, aquatic plants, and benthic ecology.

Dr. Daniel McEwen is Principal Scientist at the freshwater management consulting firm Limnopro Aquatic Science, Inc., in St. Cloud, Minnesota, and an adjunct professor of biology at Augsburg University, Minneapolis. Daniel holds a Ph.D. in benthic macroinvertebrate ecology from North Dakota State University and is a NALMS Certified Lake Professional. He is an experienced freshwater aquatic scientist, specializing in nutrient budgets, aquatic plant management, macroinvertebrates, fisheries, research and design, and the use of statistics.

Aaron Schad is a Research Biologist for the U.S. Army Corps of Engineers (USACE) Engineer Research and Development Center (ERDC) Environmental Laboratory Aquatic Ecology and Invasive Species Branch. Aaron received his M.S. in environmental science at the University of North Texas. He began his career as a research assistant at the ERDC Lewisville Aquatic Ecosystem Research Facility in 2008. His research and technical areas are centered on supporting the USACE environmental mission of restoring ecosystem structure and processes while managing land and water resources in a sustainable manner. He accomplishes this through ecosystem restoration; flood risk management; and mitigation project design, implementation, and applied science research with a focus on invasive plant management and native plant establishment.
