Emily A. Nusbaum

Emily A. Nusbaum teaches courses in disability studies in education and has collaboratively developed interdisciplinary certificates and programs in disability studies at undergraduate and graduate levels. Her research focuses on the advancement of critical, qualitative research through the centering of the disabled bodymind and disabled researchers, the ideology of inclusive education, as well as collaborative writing about the experience of epistemic violence, which becomes personal violence, in the academy. Elizabeth Lopez (she/her/ella) is the Program Coordinator at UCLA's LGBTQ Campus Resource Center, where she has the honor to holistically support LGBTQIA + college students. She identifies as a critical scholar practitioner and believes higher education is a site for transformative possibilities.
