Abstract

A one-pot and solvent-free synthesis of new and known α-substituted β-naphthols using tungstate sulfuric acid as an efficient catalyst has been investigated. This eco-friendly method has some appealing attributes such as excellent yields, short reactions times, the use of a safe and recyclable catalyst, and a simple workup procedure.
