Abstract

Cu(OAc)2.H2O has shown good catalytic efficiency in the presence of AgSbF6 as additive for the synthesis of isoquinoline from diphenylmethylene)hydrazine and 1,2-diphenylethyne under optimized reaction condition. Particular synthesized derivatives exhibited decent anti-fungal activity. The structure of all synthesized compounds was confirmed using spectroscopic techniques. Simple reaction process, easy work procedure, low cost and readily availability of catalyst are the some benefits of reported protocol.
