Abstract
The previous numerical model is applied to three room configurations: a corridor, a room with a door, and a room with a window opening. Moreover, the unsteady behavior under fire of two types of walls (concrete and metal) has been examined. Numerical results show a significant effect of the confinement and of the nature of the walls on the fire severity in compartments. A qualitative comparison with results available in the literature shows that the present model generally leads to good predictions.
