FINITE-ELEMENT ANALYSIS FOR HEAT TRANSFER DURING FLUIDIZED-BED COATING OF A CYLINDRICAL WIRE

Abstract

The problem of fluidized-bed coating of a cylindrical wire is studied as a heat transfer problem with a moving boundary. A finite-element method, Runge-Kutta method, and trapezoidal rule are used for solving the process-describing equations. The algorithm for solving the resulting equations is shown. Numerical illustrations prove the effectiveness of the approach.
