DESUBLIMATION: A MOVING BOUNDARY PROBLEM AND NUMERICAL SOLUTION

Abstract

A numerical model for the recovery of sublimation products is presented. The necessary differential equations describing the process are solved. The effects of velocity and composition of the gas mixture, physical properties of the materials involved, flow rate and properties of the cooling liquid, and geometry of the system are considered. The controlling mechanisms of heat and mass transfer are discussed.
