Abstract

The magnetohydrodynamic flow of Casson nanoliquids has numerous significance in medical and engineering sciences. The existing study effort is performed to emphasize the Prandtl number and temperature ratio of flow of a Casson nanoliquid with engine oil and ethylene glycol as a base fluid which are having moderate and high viscosity respectively, to illustrate the effect of Hall current, a transverse magnetic field is applied across a stretching sheet. The mathematical model is composed of governing equations and is solved using the bvp5c Matlab tool. A numerical investigation is carried out to examine the effects of the thermal radiation, Hall current, temperature ratio, and other relevant flow metrics such as magnetic parameter and Casson fluid parameter. The findings indicate that the increasing values of the Casson parameter increase the fluid velocity and temperature, whereas a converse trend is detected in Hall’s current profile. We point out that the results show that engine oil-based nanofluids perform increased heat transmission more than ethylene glycol.
