COMPUTATION OF ELLIPTIC EQUATIONS IN MULTIPLY CONNECTED DOMAINS, PART II: HEAT AND FLUID FLOW PROBLEMS

Abstract

The grid topology generated in Part I is implemented for the finite-difference solution of two-dimensional elliptic equations, together with mixed boundary conditions, in multiply connected domains. The gradient at a grid-boundary intersection is estimated using six-point interpolations. Application of the code to sample linear problems of fluid flow and heat transfer is illustrated.
