Abstract
This article presents the details of a calculation procedure for particle trajectories in curvilinear meshes. This method advances the particle in a transformed space and eliminates the need for iterative search algorithms for identifying the host cell for the particle. This procedure employs basic interpolation function commonly used in the finite-element method and is applicable to both structured and unstructured grid arrangements.
