ABSTRACT

Water-distilled essential oil from the fruits of Daucus carota subsp. gummifer gathered in three different localities near the sea on the Atlantic coast (Cantabria) of Spain were analyzed by GC and GC/MS. Geranyl acetate (51.74–76.95%) was found to be the major component in the oil.
