Abstract
The essential oils isolated by hydrodistillation from the leaves of Myrcianthes cisplatensis (Camb.) Berg, and M. pungens (Berg.) Legrand were analyzed using GC (retention indices) and GC/MS. The major components of the oils of M. cisplatensis and M. pungens were 1,8-cineole (40.7–45.8%) and limonene (17.3–22.1%).
