Abstract
The essential oils obtained by steam distillation of roots and leaves of Zanthoxylum rugosum St. Hill were analyzed using GC (retention indices) and GC/MS. The major components found in the root oil were γ-muurolene (18,5%) and β-gurjunene (10.3%). The leaf oil showed as main constituents epi-α-bisabolol (37.7%) and (E)-nerolidol (25.4%).
