Abstract
The leaf oil of Acmenosperma claviflorum (Roxb.) E. Kausel was analyzed by GC and GC/MS and was found to be entirely sesquiterpene in nature. The principal component was bicyclogermacrene (36%). The next most abundant compounds were α-copaene (7%), δ-cadinene (4.9%) and globulol (5.2%). The oil yield was 0.2%, based on fresh leaves.
