Volatile Constituents of Cerastium candidissimum Corr. from Greece

Abstract

Volatile constituents of the aerial parts of Cerastium candidissimum Corr. were investigated by GC/MS. Nineteen components were identified in the oil representing 97.5%. The major compounds were nonanal (10.5%), geranyl acetone (13.5%), 3-methyltetradecane (17.3%), (E)-β-ionone (11.1%) and hexahydrofarnesyl acetone (21.7%).
