Chemical Compositions of the Essential Oil of the Fruits of Amomum testaceum Ridl.

Abstract

The chemical composition of the fruit oil of Amomum testaceum isolated by hydrodistillation was analyzed by capillary GC, GC/MS, IR and 1H-NMR. The main constituents found in the oil were β-pinene (15.9%), 1,8-cineole (12.7%), fenchone (14.9%), tams-pinocarveol (10.9%), myrtenal (12.7%) and myrtenol (16.1%).
