Abstract

The essential oil of Siparuna guianensis Aublet plants collected during different months of the year were analyzed by GC/MS. Nerolidol was the major component of the oil of S. guianensis, collected in June during flowering. A seasonal variation in the nerolidol content (0–99.3%) in the oil obtained from S. guianensis was observed.
