Composition of a Carvone Chemotype of Mentha longifolia (L.) Huds. from Iran

Abstract

An essential oil composition of Mentha longifolia (L.) Huds. was analyzed by GC and GC/MS. Twenty-three components were identified representing 99.3% of the oil. Carvone (61.8%) and limonene (19.4%) were the most abundant constituents.
