Abstract
The steam distilled oil from the aerial parts of Gaillardia megapotamica (Spreng.) Backer var. radiata (Gris.) Backer was analyzed by GC and GC/MS. Thirty-three components were identified (90.9%), of which β-pinene (24.2%), (Z)-β-ocimene (16.5%), α-pinene (7.7%), limonene (7.5%) and β-caryophyllene (6.7%) were found as the major components.
