Abstract
The essential oil of Teucrium orientale L. ssp. orientate (Lamiaceae) was isolated by hydrodistillation of the aerial parts of the plant and the oil was obtained with 0.03% yield. The chemical composition of the volatile oil was analyzed by capillary GC and GC/MS. The main components were linalool (17.0%), β-caryophyllene (9.3%) and caryophyllene oxide (33.5%).
