Abstract
The essential oils of two collections Mojave Desert rue, Thamnosma montana Torr. & Frém., from Arizona were analyzed by GC and GC/MS. The oils were dominated by β-phellandrene (35.65 ± 3.37% to 42.58 ± 2.84%) and limonene (15.27 ± 1.45% to 21.91 ± 1.46%). Geijerene (0.18 ± 0.27% to 0.30 ± 0.47%) probably contributed to the rue-like fragrance associated with these oils.
