Abstract

The hydrodistilled essential oil of the fowers of Vitex negundo was analyzed by GC and GC/MS. Forty-fve com-ponents making up 74.8% of the oil were identifed. The major compounds were sabinene (20.3%), β-caryophyllene (14.1%) and globulol (19.2%).
