Abstract
Distillation of the fresh fowering tops of Kitagawia baicalensis (Redow. ex Willd.) Pimenov collected from the Altai Region of Siberia, yielded 0.21% of mobile colorless oil. GC and GC/MS analyses of the oil revealed 38 components with the major components consisting of sabinene (8.6%), myrcene (26.0%), limonene (15.0%), β-phellandrene (10.0%) and γ-terpinene (20.5%). The oil contained 95.2% of monoterpenoids and 4.5% of ses-quiterpenoids.
