Abstract
The essential oil of Zosimia absinthifolia (Vent.) Link. growing wild in Iran was obtained by hydrodistallation and analyzed by GC and GC/MS. Sixty-one components representing 91.3% of the total oil were identified. The main components of the oil were octyl butyrate (19.2%), β-caryophyllene (13.9%), octanol (9.6%), geranyl valerate (9.6%) and caryophyllene oxide (5.7%).
