Broadcasting VS. Leroy Collins: A study in media influence

Abstract

This paper is designed to illuminate the role that Broadcasting magazine played during the tenure of LeRoy Collins as president of the National Association of Broadcasters from 1961–1964. The report examines how the publication became the rallying point and catalyst for opposition to Collins’ policies. The study concludes with some suggestions for the journal's future performance.
