Behavioral analysis in oral interpretation

Pages 379-388 | Published online: 01 Apr 2009

Abstract

This article analyzes the difference in verbal behavior between the typical entering student in oral interpretation and the accomplished interpreter. When translated into behavioral objectives, these descriptions tell the learner what he is likely to do (and should avoid) and in what direction to change his behavior to produce better oral interpretation.
