This paper reports three factor analytic studies of perceived homophily with public figures. The original instrument was comprised of sixty‐one Likert Scales. Factor analysis produced two interpretable factors. A six‐item attitude homophily scale and a four‐item background homophily scale is reported. Reliability and validity of the instrument is also reported, along with a discussion of future uses and applications.
