Abstract
Single crystals of RbKBrCl are grown by the melt growth technique and irradiated using the 58Ni7+ ion beam of 100 MeV energy. A single line electron paramagnetic resonance spectrum has been observed for single crystals irradiated with the dose of 1014 ions/cm2. This spectrum shows an angular separation of 10 gauss between maximum and minimum g positions on crystal rotation. A decrease in intensity of the EPR line with time is observed. The radical produced is identified as an electron centre which is tied to the lattice.
