Abstract
Forty‐seven fossil caddisfly cases from four sites were found in sediments from the Latah Formation (Miocene) in adjacent counties near Fernwood and Elk River, Idaho. These specimens represent two distinct groups: members of the families Phryganeidae (Phryganea species) and Limnephilidae (Folindusia species). This study shows that little change has occurred in case construction over the past 20 to 25 million years.
