Abstract
Complexes of the type Cp2,M[S2POGO[,2 [where Cp = C5H5, M=Ti or Zr; G = -C{CH3)CH2CH(CH3), -CH2C(CH3)2CH2-, -C(CH3)2C(CH3)2 and CH2CH2CH(CH3)-] were prepared by reaction of Cp2MCl2 and NH4[S2POGO] in 1:2 molar ratio in CH2Cl2. These newly synthesized compounds have been characterized by molecular weights, IR, 1H and 31P NMR spectral measurements. An octahedral geometry for both the metals have been proposed.
