Abstract

The thiirane ring cleavage of cyclohexene sulfide with trifluoro-methylthiocopper furnishes seven compounds. Of these, only one compound does not contain the trifluoromethylthio group. This paper presents the probable mechanism of formation of the compounds and their mass spectral characterization.
