Abstract
Alkylantimony (III) and -bismuth(III) halides, R2EX, REX2, (E = Sb, Bi; X = Cl, Br, I) tend to form oligomeric or polymeric structures through halogen bridges between the pnicogen atoms. In this article the crystal structures of several examples with sterically more (R = (Me3Si)2CH) or less (R = CH3) demanding organic substituents are discussed.
