Abstract
2-Pyridylseleno-phosphines can easily be synthesized via reaction of appropriate halophosphines with K(2-SePy) or [Et4N][2-SePy]. The phosphines are extremely sensitive to oxygen and can be trapped as Cu-, Ag- or Mo-complexes via reaction with CuBr, AgBr and [(η6-C7H8)Mo(CO)3]. The crystal structures of 1BuP(O)(2-SePy)2 7, [{tBu2P(2-SePy)}-P,N-MBr]2, M = Cu 8, Ag 9 and [tBuP(2-SePy)2-N,N',P-Mo(CO)3] 10 have been determined.
