Preparation and Optical Properties of Dithienosilole-Arylphosphine Alternate Oligomers

Abstract

Dithienosilole-arylphosphine alternate oligomers were prepared by the Stille coupling reactions of bis(tributylstannyl)dithienosilole with bis(4-bromophenyl)phenylphosphine and -phosphine oxide. The resulting oligomers are dark orange solids, and they can be spin-coated to thin films on substrates. They are emissive in solutions as well as in films.
