Synthesis of Conformationally Constrained Analogues of Bioactive Amino Acids Based on Asymmetric Cyclopropanation

Pages 1189-1192 | Received 26 Aug 2010, Accepted 23 Sep 2010, Published online: 12 Jul 2011

Abstract

Multistep syntheses of selected constrained amino acids were performed, where asymmetric cyclopropanation using sulfinyl auxiliary was the crucial step of the conversion. The influence of cyclopropane structure on regio- and stereoselectivity of sulfoxide removal is described.
